Sunday Services

Our Sunday services are based at Hardenhuish School.

Mornings

The morning service is accessible to everyone including families, and we provide teaching for each age group.

For all ages, the emphasis is to come together in collective worship to glorify God in praise, prayer and by hearing God speak through listening to the Bible being explained.

Sunday School

The Sunday School is for children up to year 6 (10-11 years old) who gather together at 10.15 (just before the morning service). At 10.30 they join the rest of the church when together we sing songs and hymns, read the Bible and pray. The children leave at around 10.50 for teaching suitable for their age.

The older children and adults then continue, the focus being on the teaching and understanding of the Bible. For children from year 7 upwards, we provide guide-sheets to help them follow the teaching.

There is also a supervised crèche provided for children of pre-school age during the service.

Refreshments

After the service tea, coffee and biscuits are served. We also hold a fellowship lunch following the morning service on each first Sunday of the month – please come along!

Evenings

In the evening service we include contemporary but reverent worship of God, using the best of old and the very latest hymns and songs, accompanied (as in the morning service) by our music group. We also listen to the Bible being explained by the preacher so that we will hear God speaking to us through his Word.

Preaching

Usually we are preaching through two different books of the Bible, covering one in the morning and one in the evening. Sometimes the preacher will take a different subject. The preaching is primarily undertaken by our Pastor and trainee Pastor, but we also have other preachers, either from our own members or on occasion visiting preachers.
