Richard Dawkins recently was one of those responsible for an advertising campaign on London buses. To quote the Times:
The archsceptic professor Richard Dawkins today launched Britain's first atheist campaign posting the message: "There's probably no God. So stop worrying and enjoy your life" on the side of 800 British buses.
In contrast, Christians believe that there is a God. But even if you believe that, you might still ask whether God is relevant in the 21st Century.
Emmanuel Chippenham was delighted to bring Dr. John Dickson to the Town Hall in Chippenham on the evening of Tuesday, 16th March 2010. You cannot deny the relevance of his subject for the evening: "2010 - is God Relevant?"
His website describes him as "speaker, author, singer and historian" - a man of many talents and an entertaining and informative speaker. John comes to us from Austraila and will be speaking in a few different venues in the South West over a 10-day period.
You can hear (and see) him on video here. |
