In this session we are going to begin to look at the whole question of Biblical church leadership.

Background

Church has an eternal, international, regional and local expression. Here, we are part of EECC.

Last week, having considered what is needed for any group of people to make progress, we concluded that organisation and in particular leadership are vital. However, we agreed that we must reconcile the apparent contradiction between the congregation under God having the final authority, and verses such as Hebrews 13:17 which make clear the authority of leadership.

This week we are going to begin to look more closely at this whole question of Biblical Church Leadership.

Look at the following scriptures and ask the question, "Just what will characterise leaders of God’s people?"
