Page 1 of 3 BackgroundGod’s plan is to (re-)establish the Kingdom of God - the Bible is the account of what God has done, is doing and will do to bring that about. We can now see that God’s plan involves a new creation or regeneration. The pattern is shown to be: ‘Creation’ -> ‘de Creation’ -> ‘re Creation’ The Kingdom of God means that God, mankind and the rest of creation all relate perfectly. In Study 7 we saw that we enter the kingdom by being united “in Christ” (Ephesians 1:11-14). Summary: that which believers possess by faith, the regeneration for us in Christ, becomes that which begins to be formed in us. The personal regeneration of the believer is the fruit of the regeneration in Christ. (Both are related to the final regeneration of all things which will take place when Christ returns.)
